My last few days have been spent in New York City. New York has lots of mosquitoes, too. Who knew! I learned that twenty-four times. They love me. While I was away, it rained. And it rained and it rained and it rained some more. Do you know what that means? That means no work happened at the house. Sad days. I was able to extend our current lease until the end of June, but that is it. Our landlord has been showing the house to potential renters. I feel like I am selling a house. I do not like that stress. Keeping the house clean and the laundry done is not my strong suit. Thankfully I have been in NYC so my dear husband Matt has had that responsibility. But I am home now. I hope it rents soon! There was one huge delivery while I was away! Cooper's basketball court arrived! Cooper was on vacation with a friend, so today when he arrived back home we were all set to assemble. Let me just say this court is AMAZING!!! It exceeded every expectation I had. It took us about two hours to get it all put together. Matt and I had help most of the time. Our helpers took frequent breaks, but we got it done. Check it out! As I was looking through the pictures, I noticed someone picked up my phone and took some of me! I think it was Cooper. Doesn't Callan look thrilled in this one? Making progress! He is WORN out! I may have bribed her with a blue sno cone. Obviously it worked. He's done. I am not sure how much he slept on vacation with his friend. Down to eight boxes left at this point. We started with twenty-five. Carys has now decided to build a cross with the empty boxes. She told us to hurry because she needed some more. Sheesh. Callan really was a good helper. All the way to the end. And even though she kept reminding Cooper that this was all for him and he needed to get up and help. She loves him. 750 tiles and 114 edge pieces later... Look at that smile. That is what makes it all worth it. What is next? Next week, they should come dig the trench for the electrical line. Then as soon as the land dries up some, they will come install the septic system. Maybe with lots of prayer we won't be residents of the Holiday Inn Express in July. But they do have free breakfast! I wonder if they have waffles!
