The day we have been waiting for almost eleven weeks finally came. The house arrived! No, the house is not on our lot yet, but the house arrived in our city! Next step... schedule a day for it to be taken to the lot, run the electric, put in a septic system, go to the bank, and then move in. All of that should be done in the next three to four weeks. Go ahead. Sigh with me. Three to four weeks feels like an eternity at this point. Anyway, here are some pics of OUR house. We will keep you posted on the move. And no worries, when we are finally moved in (and have all the IKEA pieces put together) we are having a party so you can all come and check it out! You know. It will be kind of like the DMV. Take a number and when yours is called you may enter the house. Let's talk about the two pictures below. The top one is in our house. The bottom one is in the model. We got lighter countertop to help the kitchen feel bigger. We did not ask for different color wood under the bar. I am not sure why it is like that, but I am not a fan. And they know that. The ugly striped wood is also on the wall to the left in the living room. I really dislike it; however, once the TV is up and the piece of furniture is under the TV, I don't think you will see much of it. I will say they offered to fix the wood, but I just can't see waiting even longer than I already have. I will just fix it myself. Oh...and if you notice the floors they are lighter in our house. I love them! See this beautiful thing- that is my TANKLESS hot water heater!!! No more running out of hot water, boiling water for baths, or hollering at the kids to hurry it up in the shower! Of course, I don't think I will be taking too many baths. The kids seemed excited about their individual "space" in the house. Well, Callan doesn't look excited, but I made her look up from her phone. And she's thirteen. So that look is just directed at me. But she is excited. Deep down. Really deep down. So there you have it, folks. Now we just wait some more. And while we are waiting they have to fix the missing railing on the front porch. If you see it on the side of the interstate somewhere, let me know. It didn't make it through the trip.
