TINY PROGRESS

4/17/2017

Well five weeks have come and gone and we still don't have a house. Actually, it has been six weeks today since we ordered the tiny house. I am really hoping that it arrives by the end of next week; however, I know better than to get my hopes up. We have seen some progress this last week. Dirt was brought onto the lot for the house pad (on the left) and for the driveway/ concrete slab (on the right). Some progress is better than no progress.

While we have been waiting, I decided we better start cleaning out and getting ready to move. I started in the girls' room where I uncovered an embarrassing amount of Vera Bradley that they have accumulated over many birthdays, Easters, and Christmases. We sold it all on Facebook. Progress.

I got in all of our new bedding for the tiny house. We chose to order from Beddy's because I thought it would be the easiest solution to everyone making their beds up in the morning...including myself.

Side note: I hate making beds. It is so dumb. I am just going to get back in it at night so why make it unless someone is coming to visit. And we all know no one is coming to visit the tiny house except for to be nosy. But I am going to make an effort to make my bed once we move. Maybe.

We put Carys's new bedding on to try it out. Here is the before/ after. Pretty neat! She just zips it up in the morning! This will be super helpful with her bunk bed.

Since we aren't going to have a dishwasher in the new house, I started thinking about drying racks and how much room they take up. I decided to try out this handy dandy roll up rack that rolls out across the sink. (pic from Amazon)

And just today I received a set of mixing bowls, strainer, and measuring cups that all stack neatly in one pile. Because we all know that when my kids put the dishes up, they are going to stack them correctly.

Between one bathroom, no dishwasher, capsule wardrobes, shared lofts, no cable, and 399 HSF, we know we are in for a HUGE adventure full of the good, the bad, and the ugly, but we cannot wait to get started! COME ON TINY HOUSE!!!
