I am growing impatient, people. I just want to see a few stakes and a pile of dirt on our lot. Is that too much to ask? The awful house is only getting awfuler by the day. And when my windshield is frozen over on Friday morning, I might lose all my cool. Today three people asked me, "So when are y'all starting on the house?" I tried to play it off nicely, but I am sure the lasers shooting from my eyes pierced their innermost being. I don't hide my feelings well. At all. I mentioned to Matt a couple of weeks ago that I was losing my vision I had for the house because things were taking so long. That sweet man bought me house decorating books for Christmas! He loves me. Even when I shoot him with my laser eyes. I decided it was time to get out of the slump and do something fun! So what did I do? I set up a meeting with an interior designer to help me with my house! "Why do we need an interior designer?" Matt asked. "You want to pick?" I cleverly responded. "Ahhhh. Grey and white?" he said.
"Nope, those are all white," I answered. "When are you meeting with him?" Matt conceded. And about that time the "I win" smirk covered my face. Ladies, you know what I am talking about. Men, you know even better. SOOOOOO... I met with the fabulous Taylor Bennett. Have y'all seen his work?!?! I love his stuff. You can check out some of his work on Instagram @taylorbennett__! He, along with Lindsey Lowe (@ryanandlindsey), are the brains behind Fine Folks who do beautiful floral arrangements for all sorts of events. Check them out as well! @finefolksla Because I love everything he does, I knew he would be the perfect person to help me out with some decisions that I just can not make on my own. Like picking white and/or grey paint. Because that seriously makes me want to poke my eyes out with paintbrushes. So we met up at Starbucks (because duh!) and we discussed my ideas. You know...something light and bright, not too trendy, but not too boring. Perfectly perfect in every way. That's not hard to do, right? But you know what- I think Taylor totally gets it! So whatever he says to do, I am going to listen. Well, maybe. Probably. I mean yes. Yes I am! Now let's get this party started! Spit spot. And off we go!
