Ummmm...no. No, we aren't.

"How much longer?" they say.

My shoulders are sore from shrugging. I don't know. I don't know how much longer it will take. I wish I knew. My friends are posting their countdowns until vacation. Here is my countdown.

I've been scoping out local hotels. I am also offering free housesitting services for the month of July. Preferences go to homes with pools.

Just kidding. I hope.

Here is what we have gotten done over the last couple of weeks.

1. The septic system was installed!!! It was a dirty job. :)

2. Entergy installed the electric pole! (or whatever it is called)

3. The electrician came to get all the wires run! We are even getting a light to shine on the basketball court. Go figure.

4. My parents bought most of my furniture so they came to get it all.

5. We put together the new IKEA couch and we can all fit on it!

What is left to do, you ask? Well, we need the water line to be tapped so we can actually have running water and a flushing toilet. We may be off our rockers, but we are NOT off the grid!

We are also in the process of getting a permit that will allow Entergy to turn on the power. After that, the contractors have to build the steps and put the wood skirting around the house. Then we can make a quick visit to the bank and move in. Oh and landscaping. There is also some landscaping that needs to be done. So like I said, we are available to housesit in July. And if it doesn't stop raining we will also be available in August.

Our yard is currently a muddy mess.

But every time I look out past the dirt and mud, I take a deep breath and am reminded that He is in control.

"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:33-34
